"This is what happens to every peach tree I plant. It lives for about 1 season then starts dying
from the east side all the way up. No, I didn't amend the soil first, and something tells me there
is something in the soil that may be causing the problems. I have heavy clay soil.
All of the trees were in locations near to this one. All planted at different times, different years,
etc. Is this what fireblight looks like? Does anyone have the answer?"
It has been suggested that this is the result of Cotton root rot. You might try planting a good
variety for this area in a different spot.

"This is a Crepe Myrtle that I planted this year. It was dug up from someone else's yard. I
planted 3 trees in a triangle. The other 2 bloomed just fine. This one made these bud looking
things like it was getting ready to bloom, but never did. It just stayed this way. I went out
yesterday and removed them in hopes it would try to bloom again. The other 2 trees are still
blooming because I have been removing the seed pods. Did it get too much rain at the wrong
time and sprout in the buds or what?"
It is generally agreed that you should cut all the buds from this tree, and let it try to bloom
again, before you do anything more drastic. Be sure this tree is not in too much water, and
feeding would/could be beneficial.
